trug.

***Such a fantastic day!! I have been smiling to myself all day today. Australia.. I am proud .****
I had the day to myself just for playing.. and play I did...
and I made this:

(I believe it is a trug.)

I have had that DIVINE wrapping paper for ages.. about 6 months now.. waiting for just the right project... it was $8.00 for a big ol sheet and is a flocked red baroque design on a light chocolate background... the piece was about 70cm long by 50cm.. a huge bargain.. I covered my whole trug... and have heaps left over for a layout..
LOVE that.

Anyhoo.. I used one of the fab ( but not THAT easy to put together if you are NOT handy, like MOI, like me being NOT handy... eh...), Kaiser craft kits. and painted all the bits.. and then glued the paper onto each bit and then put all the bits together ( THIS is where i have trouble .. I am an AWESOMELY inept hammer wielder. but there ya go it looks ok.. ( if you dont look too close..;))))
I then added a little gold ink to the edges, trimmed it with a beautiful upholstery trim from Scrappers Warehouse.. I then added some ribbon.. and a gold lock thingie.. and a couple of little teeny tags...
I am going to use it in my new art room for holding scissors.. or.. something..LOL.

I also have a few cool scrappy finds I wanted to share:

First is this cool new card.. with colour inside the core of the card... it is called COREdinations and i got to see some and have a play when I was at Printblocks recently. Beautiful colours.. and perfect for tearing and sanding.. as you get a lighter shade of the cardstock show up when you distress it.:)

BUT my FAVOURITE set of all is this set... Hocus Pocus.. which is a BLACK card.. that has colour underneath.. so when you rip or sand it.. it rips COLOUR!!!

and among the HEAPS of new stuff coming out at Cha...

I am totally overwhelmed with the scrappy goodness...PHEW!!!!!...

all the new Fiskars stuff.. can I just say i will be running across HOT COALS to get those two border punches she talks about first.. the scallops!!!!!! and weavy one!!!! FAB. U.LOUS.
